Why do you need recommendations? Do you lag by one year in watching movies?
Anway, I watched only two Hindi movies in 2005. Out of "Paheli" and "Parineeta", I would vote thumbs down for "Paheli".
Most people swear at this movie - perhaps they are more used to seeing SRK in Yash Chopra - Karan Johar movies. Forget SRK-Rani - I liked this movie because of Amol Palekar's direction, Farah Khans choreography, the majestic Rajasthani settings and the costumes (I do not know who designed the costumes).
But "Paheli" should win award for costumes and settings.

i think Sarkaar is a must watch..Amitabh is good as usual,but Abhishek bachan was really good and the story line is good too,even if it is a remake of a hollywood movie.

It's an off-beat movie (see my post on 28-12-05) with number of newcomers (including Nas. Shah's son). It's a good movie to watch.
