It is bad to give a quick response, but why do they mention Hinduism as a "pagan" religion? Hinduism does not mean witchcraft and other such practices

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
The English word pagan is from the Latin word "paganus" or someone who lives in a rural district, or pagus. In Latin, the word meant a villager or rustic, and was also used as an antonym for miles, or soldier.
While trying to make Chrisitianity a State Religion, the Roman Emperor Constantine twisted this word to instill fear in the hearts of Christians for people living outside the Roman Cities and following different religions. This is how the word pagan acquired a neagative meaning.
Before Ye'all start World War Three over this post, please note that I am not saying anything against any Religion, but merely stating a historical fact.
