A website for better understanding of Hinduism !

On the 13th February 2006, it will be 100 years since the time \"His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi MahaSwamiji\" of Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt in Tamil Nadu, became the head of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.

There are special celebarations planned for the same and you can get more information about this in the following link:http://www.srikanchimahaswami100.org/.

The official website of the Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt is as follows:

http://www.kamakoti.org/

Please check out the following links in the above website:

1.Sri Adi Sankara: where you can see a nice cartoon type pictorial history of Adi Sankara and how he went establishing the Sankara Mutts in India. A must see/read for children in Canada.

2.The list of Shankaracharyas since 509 BC till to date, all the 70 of them.

3.The telugu section.

4.Introduction to Hindu Dharma

5.http://www.kanchiforum.org/interesting/FundamentalsOfIndianRenaissance.pdf
for a free book written by Dr.Subramaniam Swami, who is touring USA raising money for the legal defence of the Shankaracharyas currently in Tamil Nadu.

6.http://www.kanchiforum.org/ where you can read about the current threat to Hinduism in India.

If you read this forum, you will get a better clarity of how\"hinduism is under threat in India\" from the vested politician.

Hope some of you would be able to read more and enlighten yourself about Hinduism, Shankaracharyas and also about the current state of Hinduism in India and the threat it is facing.

Good Luck and God Bless !

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....

"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
