febpreet, Thank you so much for adding your voice to the petition, new immigrants are signing the petition every hour to support this cause to help in addressing the disparity in economic opportunities for new immigrants to Canada.

You're welcome. I know you're doing the right thing. This whole 'Cdn Experience' is a load of crap.

Never understood, how Canada is unique in the entire flock of English speaking countries in this aspect.

True, if a Doctor visits Canada for a conference/convention/seminar/etc. than his paper (or his findings, or his work & work experience) is highly respected & recognized.
Whereas, when the same Doctor takes permanent residence & moves to Canada, then he becomes a piece of shit (only fit for general labour, or maybe driving a taxi, or as a security guard somewhere in an apartment or a warehouse).
Engineers working in Tim Hortons, or even worse some working on cash in very unhygienic condition - can be an ideal example of exploitation/modern day slavery.

No doubt, there are few who succeed, but the rest ?????

Did these 'REST" really wanted to succeed ? What measures did they took to come out from dead end jobs ??
If they are real Dr.s or Engrs ( by that I mean qualified not certified ) than they can definitely have a heck of a life in India itself . What is it that is stopping them to go back ? Pls don't use kids as an excuse here .
As I have mentioned earlier I did not met even a single person yet who lived here for over 05 yrs and is slogging to meet the ends .
I like one of your other post where you mentioned that Income is not important but its the life style that makes a difference .

Well said febpreet, the only way to address this modern day slavery is to raise voice collectively against the "Canadian Experience" and also in a more structured / formal document and that is all I am doing to document every one comments, frustration and disappointment.

If only 1% of immigrants are succeeding in the actual profession than there is defiantly some thing is wrong in the system.

As an employment adviser myself, I have yet to meet any doctor, lawyer, engineer, banker has got success in their original profession, majority of them had picked up second careers in Canada.

Second career means not even meetings ends meet.

You have no idea what you are taking about? you are comparing 1% succeeding to 99% failing through the cracks? which does not carry any rational.

I don't agree that only 1% succeed. All my friends have succeeded and all were immigrants from India. It really depends on what efforts you have taken. I am working in the same field and I have MBA degree as well. If tomorrow not Canada then I will take opportunities where ever in the world with global experience. I also don't think all the people take 2nd career and I don't think it is bad. You have to go where the market demand is. I think this all petition is further waste of time and instead of that people can be focussed and spend their time and energy fruitfully then it is better for them.

The answer will be the one to your posts ...
