I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

i am a congress supporter and i am proud to be one.

you all say couldnt congress find one indian to lead the party. but every party need a person who can bring voters. that is the reason BJP and all parties are running after film stars by paying them money.

for congress, family name is the thing that mesmarizes people.

i dont see any wrong in her coming into politics. not just congress, every party follows that rule. when husband dies, they give ticket to his immediate kin. is it just congress? then why cry on congress??

if you have a business, you wish your son come into it.

now comes the quesiton.. is india a family business to nehru family?

no. but their family spent their whole life in politics of india. congress is sort of family for them. any leader wheter indira or sonia can bring their kids into politics. but they cannot make them win voters mandate. right?
if at all voters reject this family politics, they would have defeated rajiv, rahul, sonia in their elections.

except for indira, nobody from that family (forgive my ignorance i cant rewind upto nehru era as i have no clue about his administration) lost a election.

this elections, do you know that sonia is the only person who addressed highest number of meetings? she covered maximum part of india addressing people. she was awkward when she entered into politics. but today, people could co-relate with her so, they gave their vote to her alliance.

somebody here said gujarat alone affected the mandate! open your eyes folks!! Gujarat is the biggest mistake by BJP. if only vajpayee had guts to contain Narendra Modi in time, atleast when supreme court damned Modi's administration for their cruelties BJP could have had some pride to show today!

sonia displayed some leadership qualities in these years. she gave a free hand to her chief ministers. one biggest handicap of congress is remote control rule. well, she proved she is not that sort.

they have experts about every aspect of administration. foreign policy, defence, finance what not? i dont believe her "inner-voice" all of a sudden now. but still it is a smart move i would say.

if only sonia became the prime minister of india, added to the woos, she had to fight the foreign origin issue. BJP would have used her origin issue. already pramod mahajan once said.. it should be 100% indian .. with obvious references to rahul and priyanka.

sure, there are senior members in congress. but average indian's heart beats for that family, its leadership. just imagine.. TATA empire going into hands of someone else's hands! Microsoft completely out of Bill Gates family!

despite this many years of independence if majority of indians feel that way.. why do you blame it on that family or party? may be its time you give some credit to that family and some work to your brains to think about what could have been the failure of others for not getting this kind of respect.

Having lost his Dy PM ship and Home Ministry, it is Vajpayee who is coming to recue in becoming Leader of Opposition. This is to enable Advani to enjoy the benefits of Cabinet Minister status by virtue of Leader of Opposition. What a pity man !

If Bull dozer Jagmohan could be appointed Urban Dev Minister by BJP in his new avatar then why cant Laloo aspire for Home Ministry !

Though it is another aspect that Cong has not agreed to this stand in the larger interest of the country.

if you talk about laloo yadav's corruption.. what about george fernandez's corruption.. we could tolerate him. right?

if you talk about laloo yadav's silly stupid statements.. what about sushma swaraj.. we could see her intelligence over past week. right?

one thing for sure. he stood on his word. he did not change colors with power like much acclaimed Chandra Babu Naidu by joining hands with religious BJP for power.

btw, i am not laloo yadav's fan or a/c. just i am saying that people are ridiculing him for the wrong reasons.

Well, no doubt, there were corrupt people in the BJP. But you make it sound like Cong-I is a party of angels with wings and if you really feel that way, let them form the govt. and I will dissect their ministers in a similar fashion. Until more educated honest professionals people take part in politics in India, this is what we have to live with, no matter what the party. For now, its just a question of choosing the lesser evil and we all have our opinions about that, don't we?

I know a lot of average Indians are in awe of this whole Nehru-Gandhi family/dynasty thing. I guess some people are fascinated by this whole dynasty/royalty/celebrity idea (I read about some guy who's willing to shoot himself if Sonia didn't become PM)

I'm not. And I couldn't care less who's in charge of TATA so long as they continue to make good products. Same goes for Microsoft.

exactly. lets pass our judgements after seeign how they perform.

people voted with a hope to BJP few years back and when they felt they are no good, choose cong. allies now.

lets wait and see how these guyz perform. we shouldnt blind ourselves with favouritism or aversion and pass judgements.
