What was your most memorable Tv serial ? Why did you like it ?
I was hooked onto Buniyaad (Masterji, Lajoji..etc.) and Yeh jo hai zindagi (that blockbuster comedy !)..and who can forget Shahrukh khan in Fauji !

My favorites were "Khaandaan" and "Karamchand". "Buniyaad" was OK initially but they stretched it unnesessary. In later years I liked "Bharat - Ek Khoj" ,"Chanakya", "Rajani". There were many more "Kachi dhoop", Few serials based on Bengali Novels, "Tamas" .... The list is endless. Now a days Ekta Kapoor has ruined the quality and taste of serials being produced in India. Specially "Kyonki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi" is crap (though I was hooked to it for quite some time)


Has anyone seen Jassi Jaise Koi Nahin ( I hv been wanting to see this..) Does anyone know if this serials comes on VHS on rent like many other.

' Jassi Jaisi Koyee Nahi' is really a superb serial which is nowadays being telecast by Sur Sagar TV.But,I don't think if the videos of the same are available for rent as it's not finished in India yet.

How can you guys forget the mother of all DD serials "Hum Log"? I remember my family watching it religiously every week. Remember "Chanpakaiya Chanpakaiya" at the end?

There was one on Sunday morning that I really liked too, about high-shchool kids doing detective work, I think it was called "Ek Do Teen Chaar" (Those were the Hardy Boys / Famous Five / Nancy Drew days after all.)
