With all due respect, the 'internet may be a bad place to seek advice' but we want to make canadiandesi a 'safe' place to seek advice.
Don't get me wrong. Your help is valuable. Let's keep the 'value' in it for ever.

It was only a question of thinking about the wrong category when I answered the question.
My basic answer still stands - you cannot get medicals done without getting married first.
As soon as I realised what I had missed, I corrected my response.
I am only trying to help people who are in the same situation that I have been through, and when my suggestions/comments benefits anyone, that is a way for me to give back the help I have received from others during my own process.
Best wishes,
Pratick

I married on 2nd Jan 2004, but my wife did her medical before we got married - in early December. There was no problem. I applied for her immigration in mid-January, and last week the visa office in Delhi called her for an interview on 29th March. So, my experience was 2 1/2 months from application to interview.
