I bought this one during online boxing day sale at $139 from best buy and I am very happy with this little guy:) Just back from a long trip and realized that it has a sharp brain in redirecting navigation:)

It is easy to use and you can use it right out of the box. You can use it in different cars also. Just stick the disk and use the suction cup. No installation required. Stand alone GPS units are better.

Hemangbhai,

Can you please tell me, what is the model no you are talking about?

I bought Magellan 3225 for $140.00 from costco. It came with some 1.2 million point of interest (POI) for canada and US. I found a forum in google for 3225. They had 6 million poi of interest for Canada (for Free!) downloadable.

I have been using this GPS for more than 4-5 months. Works like a charm.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Crisraj

Whichever GPS you buy please do not install it in the Car at a place it is highly visible as it attracts car thieves in parking lot and there have been numerous car break ins all over North America lately to steal the GPS.

You can Google it or read one news here http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2007/11/18/finding_their_way_into_thieves_hands/

I believe you are asked for 'Text to speech' feature..:D

I have used both and definitely vouch for this feature. In many places when there are too many side roads and you are supposed to turn on the 3rd lane of the 5 available, it helps to know (listen) the name of the lane you need to turn while having your eyes on the traffic. It is actually a safety feature and helps keeping your eyes on the road.

Please note that this feature works only with the computer generated default voice of the GPS - if you have downloaded a different tone from the internet, it will not work.

Hope that helps.

Good luck.
Hiren
