I bought this few months ago from Amazon.com. The price at that time was $526 USD for 47"
At least, you can check out the features.
Thanks a lot Folks ,
For your inputs and advice .. Glad I asked and learned about the refresh rate .
Smart TV s internet connectivity ( apart from the HDMI) - is is smarter than that of the streaming devices - I mean do Roku / Apple TV offer more programming or functionality than regular smart TV s .. asking this as it might be better to buy a non-smart TV with a streaming player as this might need to be upgraded in future .
Also - Is the refresh rate apparent with gaming only or with regular TV programs and movies also ?
One hypothetical q - Suppose both these TVs cost the same .. which one to prefer (usage non gaming) :
a. 46" 1080p LED 120 Hz .
b. 55" 1080p LED 60 Hz .

I have a samsung TV at home and I recently bought LG cinema 3D Tv. It is awesome in every aspect. All the features are excellent.
If you see your pictures in the TV by plugging USB drive, the TV can convert it to 3D and show it to you. I have a garbage kind of dreambox for indian shows but LG converts it to HD or 3D what ever i want.
The same dreambox on Samsung, picture quality is so poor (Samsung Tv is like 5 yrs old)
I am not comparing samsung / lg here, but just leeting you know my experience. Samsung's new tv might have same thing but pricewise LG is lot cheaper and brings best to you.
Hope this helps

Why wait for boxing day? I think boxing day deals are mostly for outdated products. When in doubt always go to Costco. Warranty, quality, peace of mind and vfm is always there.
Thanks again
Febpreet , I read that pcmag article on refresh rates .. quite enlightening - it does mention that for normal non action viewing 60 Hz should suffice .. in fact it mentions that for watching every day movies / drama you may need to tone down to 60 Hz on higher refresh rate TV s ...
But I m sticking on to 120 Hz for now based on common suggestions ..
Just started some window shopping ..At factory direct these 3 TV s are for $600/- .. One of them actually a 60" LED with 120 Hz .. not many in stock of that though ... Pls grade them as 1, 2 , 3 .. Thanks ..
