Ofcourse with voltage converter you can use it here in Canada. only thing, if it has a round pin plug then u need a round pin to flat pin adaptor/converter.

hi anand_va

Thank you for the reply. We can stepdown the voltage to 110V with this converter but frequency remains as 60 Hz and it may result in faster speeds. So i wanted to know the experience of some people who are using high wattage applainces like mixie and grinder brought from India or europe.

Thank you

Hi charlie,

You can try ebay.

in http://www.ebay.ca/ site go to

You'll get it at FS or The Source, but they'll rip you, probably charge you around 5 to 7 bux. Alternatively you can get it at a Flea Market in Scarborough (Warden/Eglinton). That's where I got mine from. Paid 2 bux - no tax, oops tax incl.

I will only suggest as to what you can do to NOT make it work. But it is not the best way out of it. But every little suggestion is worth keeping it in mind.
First of all is it working good. If it is, can you sell it to someone for a depreciated value and get some cash and fold it and put it in a wallet. If so, your problems are over. You don't need a step up transformer and an adaptor and the head aches associated with it, after you bring it to Canada.
(Hey what am I saying? Sell it? After some one gave it us on our wedding day? What about our sentiments? Darn it. Don't you have any respect for those people who presented it to us?)
Yes you save the cost of a Transformer too, besides the cost of a bottle of Aspirin a month. Also, You get the same darn thing here for the same price, but you DO pay PST and GST or the harmonised ST on top of it. But don't forget, you are now in Canada and you have a spanking new machine, Saves you lugging it, crying over the dings and dongs that it will go through and when you see it coming down the chute and hits the carousel and bounces off, after a safe long fllight, your heart will move upto your mouth level and I can see your hand reaching the mouth and stopping it from roling to the ground. Here is the best that I know. Whodathunkit.!!

Alternately, Go the 220 volt shops, there are three in Tarana or two in Moreal or a Few of them scattered in Vancouver or the main land too and they have all kinds of out put pluggings that they make it to fit for different countries and pay for it. Use it till one fine day one or the other packs up.(Or both of them on one day). Also it might last for ever and a day. These thingamajigs.......They do follow Murphy's laws.

It always feels nice to travel with both hands free. And if I have one hand free want to feel a little romantic and throw it around some one near and dear. Dont' you agree with me? These romantic travellers..... Hmmmmm

Voltareee. OH Oh o oh, convertare ohoh o oh... It blew...
wrong song,

Freddie.
