Interesting observation...
The jack of my cable modem, is far from my computer. If I increase the length of my cable, I lose the signal. So the tech support asked me to increase the length of my network cable, and now it works fine.
Any communication experts here? What is the reason for this?
Dear Meghal,
I try to give following reason,
MODUM is- (MOD)ulating-(U)n(M)odulating device.
Signal before and after MODUM has different properties viz. current and voltage. Voltage drop i.e. signal quality drop is different for same length of wire before and after modum.
Hope this helps.
