Hi
I was just wondering if any of you heard of a Mixie brand called Morphy Richards and if so what is your opinion in regards to its quality.
Also, irrespective of the brand name, what do you think is a reasonable amount of money (in CAD) you would be willing to spend on a Mixie for your kitchen.
Thanks for any help
Cheers

in India, @ shoppers stop , it costs 3900 bucks and @ e-zone, 3200 bucks..and it s good ....i had one in India and have one in Canada ..
Used to cost around C$200 a couple of years ago in Indian store (I think the shop is called Vijaya silks) in Dundas/Hurantario in Mississauga. I am guessing you are looking for an Indian sytle mixie.
If you are looking for blenders, they would be pretty cheap compared to the Indian mixies.

Whats the difference b/w an Indian styled mixer and a normal blender ? We have used the normal blenders / dry grinders in the past and currently but I have found people recommending Indian mixies like Sumeet .

This is for the information of the Canadian Desi's. A set of links are provided for reading and understanding with pictures, to get an idea as to what is available locally. It is preferable to buy one that is locally available here in Canada or in USA if you are living there, for the convenience of availing spare parts and service. If you want a part for replacement, you carry the part that is wornout or damaged, to the store and ask for an exact match. Because some of these machines are 'Cannibalised' from time to time. Machine may look the same but the parts will not fit, they are not interchangeable. Motors have been updated from time to time to suit the severity of use. New ones will have a different base. That is Indian Ingenuity.
