Hello All,

My mom bought me a Sumeet Mixie from India..everything was tested in India but it seems that these guys forgot to change the plug to the flat variety. So here I am looking for stores/electrical shops and suggestions of places that I could possibly find it...anywhere in downtown Toronto, Scarborough would be preferable all suggestions are welcome..I need it asap..
thanks guys

If the mixie is from india, it will very likely be suited only for 220 volts, check the electrical ratings of the mixie , if it is so,you will need a converter for making it suitable for 110 volts.

If you change the plug from round to flat and plug the mixie in the outlet here, you will burn the motor.

You can find both in any radioshack, future shop, or if you want a desi store, try "house of 220" on gerrard street.

Hope this helps.

FS or RadioShack (aka The Source) will rip you for the converter plug. If you're in Scarborough, try the flea market at Warden/Eglinton, you'll get it for around 2 bux.

Before you do that might want to check how much watts it uses. the ones available at the source and some of the places are only good for upto 300-400 watts.
i believe the mixie is going to be around a 1000 watts so if you use the ones from radioshack or some you will definitely blow out the converter
