hi ,
I am coming to Canada on a 4 yr study permit for engineering program!! this jan.
I have some doubts in my mind..and i would like to clear them from ur expert guidence!!
first of all i want to tell u that i will coming fo B.Tech in communications engineering program of 5 yrs with co-op at Carleton University,Ottawa.
Theese are my questions
1.How do u rate this program from Carleton univ which will give me a north american education as well as norh american work experiance( 1 yr co-op) as far as getting a job is concerned.do i need to apply for a work permit for it and can i extend it for yrs to come after that.
2.if i manage to get a work permit and a good job, then can i apply for a permanent resident visa from Canada itself or anywhere else where the processing time is less then New delhi(44 months) and what are my chances of getting PR after doing education and about 1.5 yrs work in canada.
3.finally but not the least i also want to ask u about spouse sponsorship process ,where do we have to apply, how much time they take to issue a PRV for it,are there any specific requirments for that.
I am really looking forward to ur response and they are really important for me to know!!

1. Carleton education is very well regarded. It is of international standard. After your studies you may get work permit if you have an interested employer.

2. You may apply through USA as long as you meet the minimum score [passmark] at the time you are applying.

3. If you are married, you can apply for TRV so that your spouse can accompany you.

Good luck. [I have limited access to internet and cannot log in regularly or write much]
