I’m came to Canada on a work permit in 02/2000 and applied for PR in 11/2001.I received the PR in 08/2004. The next month I got a job offer in the US and moved. Now here is the situation, I drove to US via the Peace Bridge and I did not show the PR card anywhere. Till date I have not been in Canada. Here is my question,
1.Does immigration know I’m out of the country?
2.I still keep ties with Canada via banking, credit cards etc. But my driver’s license and OHIP expired.I fear going back thinking that the Canadian immigration will understand that I`m residing in the US and I loose the days for PR/citizenship.
3.I need to know if I can apply for citizenship. What documents do they ask? I’ve been filing tax returns every year.
4.My son is a Candian citizen. Will this help in any way?
Thanks

Just to let you know - Canadian Citizenship obtained through fraudulent means can be stripped off anytime.
I don't know why people like you want to take a risk by getting Canadian citizenship through fraud. Why can't you live and work 3 years in Canada instead of trying to beat the system and then asking all these silly questions on the message board.
Unfortunately people like you make it tougher for genuine applicants as you cause unnecessary burden on CIC and Canadian tax payers.
If you want Canadian citizenship get it through proper means.
To the person who replied above:
I don`t understand why this will be fraudulent. I spend 5 years in Canada working and paying hefty taxes. In that case I don`t think i cause any burden on CIC and tax payers. If you cannot provide any advice pls be slient.
I also don`t understand what risk you are talking about?
