Hi everyone,
I landed in Canada along with my wife and 3 year old son in June 2009. We stayed in our friends house for 10 days, applied for SIN cards for three of us and went back to India. We gave our friends home address for the PR and SIN cards to be posted. After 3 weeks my friend received SIN cards for three of us. But only two PR cards were posted and my son's PR card was not received. we waited for nearly a month for my son's PR card but it is still not sent. I tried to contact the toll free number given in CIC website but it is not accessible from outside Canada. I contacted my agent with whom I applied for PR but they said they deal upto landing only. I am worried about my son's PR card as I am not in Canada now and not sure how to deal with this.
Please let me know what to do and whom to contact.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank u very much in anticipation.
Regards,
SS

Hi pratickm,
Thanks for u r concern in giving reply.
However I would like to know if there is any other option to sort this without physically coming to Canada and not hiring a lawyer. These are expensive options and as everyoneelse already we spent somuch money in the process of getting PR. I tried calling CIC number in all the possible ways I know and no luck.
Is there anyone who had experienced the same situation as us i.e not receiving one of the family members PR card in post.
I think it is their responsibility to send the PR cards in post if everything is done correctly. And I assume as me and my wife got our cards in 3 weeks we did the procedure in the right way. I am just wondering how can they miss one card that too of a three year old kid.
Please let me know as I am totally upset with my son's card being missing.
All suggestions are more than welcome.
Regards,
SS.

I don't want to disappoint you but it could be a possibility that your son's PR card is not made yet and the CIC may inform you it wasn't made because photo specification wasn't correct. I've noticed few cases where parents got cards and kids did not (it happened with us too). But please don't assume this is the case, wait for the card if it doesn't arrive they'll reply you for sure the reason PR card was not issued. I'm not sure for calling them but is there a way to e-mail them, may be you can e-mail.
