hello everyone
I read several posts on canadian desi, people applying from buffalo. But I am confused on this issue, how come one can apply from buffalo, usa, when one is citizen of india. and if they are here in usa on temporary visa (student, working etc) then is it possible for them to apply to canada from usa while one is on temporary visa here?
As I got the student visa for USA, can I apply from buffalo office?

Therefore, someone on a visit visa cannot apply from the US.
Neither can someone on a short-term student visa, such as a 6 month or 1 year visa.
Keep in mind that if there is a chance that you may have to leave the US before your Canadian PR process is complete, then there will be a long delay.
I am not sure if CHC Buffalo transfers files to other countries any more or not.
If they don't, then your case will continue to be processed in the US and you will have to return to the US for interview (if called for) and for passport stamping.
