After the launch of his new movie \\\"Sivaji\\\" for AVM productions, Rajnikanth is reportedly the highest paid actor in Asia Pacific region, beating Jackie Chan of Hong-Kong who reportedly gets an equivalent of INR 22 Crores per movie.
In his last movie Rajnikanth's earnings were supposedly INR 20 Crores. His deal for the new movie is worth INR 25 Crores, and the movie is expected to be sold for INR 100 crores. This movie is to be directed by super hit director Shankar.

A star who has such an enormous and loyal following tha this name sells and no matter how good or bad his movies are his presence is enough to sell the movie , run to packed houses and give returns to the producers and buyers. There are instances where he acted for free to help his struggling old friends . He maintains a very good work ehtic , has no affairs, no controversies and always spends some time in Himalayas doing meditation . Truly in every scpect a superstar.
By the way I am not a tamilian or a movie fan. Just that I read about his personality.
