Hi

I have recently arrived in this country and was referred to this website by a friend of mine. After browsing through, I have realized that this website is a goldmine of information. Thanks to the founders of CD!!

My main reason of writing this mail is as follows:

- I would like to network with expectant mothers who are from Toronto/Mississauga area. I am expecting my first child, and therefore look forward to making friends with expectant mothers for exchanging information, support each other emotionally, etc.

- Any information relating to a pregnant employee's rights in Ontario. Can the owner fire me because I am pregnant? Can I file for benefits as an expectant mother? What are my rights and obligations?

Looking forward to informative replies from would-be friends...........

Attending prenatal classes conducted at community centres like Malton Neighbourhood Services (http://mnsinfo.org/) would also be good idea to network with expectant mothers.
