upon getting passport i plan to move to USA or Dubai

hmmm ! that is the irony ( Your wife got a job, and You need Canda passport to work in US , if at all canada sucks why don't go and work on a Permit in all the so called good countries with out having the canada passport !

As you want to have a canada passport and work in different counrty is it not cheating the canada govt !

If canada wants to steal 12k , man that country has serious problems , why are they still letting skilled people , they should only get the business guys who will atleast bring 300k to 500k and that will good

To tell Chittesh, that i am also Engineer from india plus, MCP, MCSE, MCDBA, CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP, But as llong as i stayed in canada from 2000-2003, i could not get good job in IT field. The only job IT related job was to teach MCSE and CCNA in the computer schools but that was not enough for me to survive as it was never a full time job of 40 hrs a week.
I landed in vancouver and i have traveled from vancouver to victoria to yellowknife to edmonton and to toronto, ottawa and montreal for those 3 years to try my luck in different cities but same story everywhere. and its not about less jobs, its all about surplus educated workers. To my surprise, 90% people i met at different places even at HR centers were MCSEs from india.
i have left canada for work, where i could get what i deserve.

Just to let you know. I know a lady who was in IT in India with Zensar technologies. She came here and was able to get work with Fujitsu w/in 3 months of arrival.A few months later, she was laid off. Then she was floundering from one job to the other in the financial field for about a year and a half, till finally again she is working in the IT field. It's all so relative.
There are a number of companies from India who have set up shop here. A new company called Polaris Software ( I never heard of them until they came onto campus) from India with offices in downtown Toronto sent their person to recruit on our campus a week or so ago. Satyam, Infosys, Wipro, all are here already.
Of course, there are plenty of other companies here. From what I hear, a lot of companies are hiring again because of a sudden demand of services from Latin America.
