"GUJARAT DARBAR" was the gujju rest at Gerrard st. which closed down a couple of years back.
Does anyone have any idea of any good PURE VEG GUJJU SITDOWN REST IN GTA??

I don't think there are any. I seriously can't believe that some Gujju hasn't jumped at this opportunity yet. Hardly any restaurant serves Pau-bhaji. I don't mind punjabi once in a while, but I'm really getting tired of eating paneer everywhere I go. There's a couple of South Indian joints but hardly worth mention.
I think the gujarati community here is big enough now, someone could make a lot of money opening a decent pur-veg gujarati restaurant. There's tons of places like this in the U.S., I'm sure everybody is waiting for someone to take the first plunge. Then they'll pop up all over the place.
In any case, if you do find one, please let me know as well.

Recently I was on vaction in England. In London and Leicestershire, you can find the stuff as good as India. With all my might I ate samosas, batakavadas, kachoris, khandvis, khamans..........Oh man....my mouth is still watering. They make and sell stuff to the huge desi population there. hence, they use all the desi spices. Here, our restaurents sell stuff which white people and canadian born desis can eat. Totally blend. I told couple of gujju rest owners in England to start up something in Toronto!!!
I think the same guy who owned Gujarat Durbar started Exotic Indian Cuisine at 1850 Albion Road - his name is Kishor.

Place is called 'Namkeen', They have guju thali on sundays. Good food.
Its near dundas fruits and vegetables in a mall called 'Newin centre' this mall has an international food court, with 1 south Indian restuarant (awesome dosa's) and 1 guju restaurant.
