I'm a PR and moved to Windsor ON in April2004. I work at Detroit on H1B visa. I'm going to India to get married in June2005. My wife is Indian citizen and will get H4 visa to enter USA. I looked at the Spousal sponsorship forms (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/applications/fc.html) but could not understand how to complete the medical tests before the file could be submitted (I heard, per the new rules the processing times were shortened as the medical tests could be done before the spousal application is submitted). I will submit the spousal PR application form at the CPC address in Mississauga, ON.

Medical tests can be completed in India.. The form has a section for Medical test which can be done in India by doctor's listed in the guide.
Doctor will send the medical test results directly to embassy.. once the processing in Canada is complete they send everything to embassy in India and they attach the medical results already completed based on the passport number..

My wife sponsored me in USA and I had my medicals done before sending application. There must be medical practitionar in india who can do these medicals before the application. you can also pay the landing order fee alongwith application. This will save time as my application took only 3 months to get approved. But dowside is then she will have less time to immigrate to canada . One has to land before the expiry of medicals. I am also facing this dilema as I am planing to delay landing date to canada.
Hi,
I am a Canadian PR and I intend to sponsor my wife. She is in India now.
Before leaving for Canada I would like to ensure that she completes all the required paperwork for the sponsored applicant.
I was unable to find the Appendix D form that she is required to fill out before she goes for the medical examination at the weblink http://www.cic.gc.ca." rel="nofollow">LINK Also the Document checklist on the http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK for sponsorship of spouse outside Canada mentions an IMM 1017 EFC that needs to be filled out before I submit her application in Canada.
Can someone please help me out of this situation?
Cheers,
vinay
