Hi guys,

How easy or difficult is it for a lawyer to come n get started there. Are special courses necessary to practice there, n how expensive r they.

I am asking this becoz one of my friends is in the process of getting there.

Cheers
Archana

When in India, you feel Canada would be better and when in Canada, you feel India was better in many ways. This happens to so many people.

I came to know of a family that packed their bags to go to India after being in Canada for 3 years. The husband left his permanent full time job since they had no intention of coming back to Canada. The family came back within 2 months to Canada after being in Delhi. They said they could not "bear" it, population, pollution, schools and other problems. The husband got part time job in the same organization from where he resigned and now waiting for a full time oppurtunity. Immigration and going back to home country are major decisions in life. Nothing is easy!

I've met a few families myself who've done the same exact thing. Gone back after after one or two years because they could not bear Canada and then come back because they could not bear India.

I also know people who talk about how they should never have come to Canada, how life in India was so much more fun and how they're just dying to go back. Next time I meet them, they've bought a house, a new car and have started filing papers for their parents. The funny thing is they still say the same stuff as before :D

Distance does lend enchantment to the view.

Btw, I'm not saying Canada is a better country. Neither is India.

The question really is which country is better for YOU.

I think the reality is in both places the job compition is so high, people are redy to do the labour jobs at any cost

some of them say they like dignity of labour...

some of them say it for survival

some of them say they are focused about their goal..

some of them say labour jobs never keep you up and running...

some of them say you will be soon visiting doctor..

Reality...........................RAM JAne

what do you think

True I have know a few like that too. AndI know a few that left Canada and as of now havent returned, but it might be too early to say. 4 Indians have left from the place I work (bag n baggage). The most recent only last month.

Also there are quite a few people who have left Canada after getting Citz, basically work abroad and come here ocasionally. BTW, their Kids stay here.

I think the Key here is employment. People will go (if they can) anywhere where they can get decent employment , among other things.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

I have a friend who :
- When in Canada always badmouths Canada
- When in India always badmouths India
BTW, he is a nice guy ;)

Guess, when u do have something, u tend to forget its value.
And u always want what u dont get.

A lot of people tend to blame canada for all their problems. They need mentors who can show them the brighter side of life. They all know its there, just dont want to look at it. I know its not easy, but hey, whoever said life was easy?

U dont need to go back and forth between these two countries to realize this. And its expensive too :D Getting thru the initial adjustment phase is tough. But once u get thru, its a totally different story.

"I personally" would never run away. If life throws challenges here, i will fight it out here. I am not a coward.
Maybe one day, I may decide to migrate to India, but if i do that, it wont be because i failed here, Or rather because i didnt put up a fight here.
It would a choice (MY choice) to give up some stuff here to gain some other stuff there. If its because of my failure, atleast i would know that i did put up my best fight.

I am not saying that everyone has to look the same way i do.
Over the last 6 years, i have seen atleast 1 to 2 suicides every year. Suicide is not an answer. There will be tons of times when going back is a valid option. What i would like to say is "If Life did start in India, it need not end in Canada".

A balanced attitude is required. Lot of times "HELP" from fellowmates, mentors and "Psychiatrists" can get people thru.

I recall someone writing about janmabhoomi and karmabhoomi. We have to realize these two are different with their own pros and cons.

:p bison

P.S. : I hate myself for talking like this....
