Thanks. But it seems they have run out of that particular one. At least that is what they say on their website. I don't know, but do they give rainchecks for items that are on sale?

Yes, you are right - I meant a stock of multi-region DVD players, and not DVD discs.

The brand is Nova Digital DVD - not a known or popular brand.

But then what do you expect for $39

The tragedy is that none of the big players like Sony or Parasonic make multi-region DVD players that are easily available and affordable.

Yes they do make them.....
For the European market

They probably won't give rainchecks for the items on Boxing week sale.
Also, they usually don't get this item in stock.

I had checked only a couple of weeks before (when I had originally posted this thread) and they said that they have never had any multi-region DVD players. Best Buy also said the same thing.

So this is very likely a one-time stock.

I suggest go to individual stores and not the website.
I bought from the FS in the Heartland shopping center.
I suggest call up different stores and wherever there is one available, put a hold on it and then go and pick it up.

Best Buy also has the same DVD player, but their stock is limited - when I went there, they were already sold out.

There are 3 different models from this manufacturer, and all of them are multi-region.
The cheapest one was at Best Buy for $25, but they sold out of that very fast

The next best was the one I got for $39.
There is another model for $49.

Won't it be easy to just create an image of the DVD and burn it as a multi-region. Blank DVD's are so cheap these days.
