Hi Friends,
I am interested in doing a diploma course in Sales/Hospitality & Tourism/Advertising.
I have applied for immigration therefore I feel i need to have a canadian degree to get a good start with my canadian endevour.
As some of you friends are there in canada and know the job market well can you guide as to which course would be better- Sales/Tourism/Advertising.
I am currently working as a Sales Executive in India.
Also I wanted to know what would be the procedure for admission to these courses??

I feel that now I have made up mind to immigrate to Canada, I would like to come there to canada and study for my diploma and in the meanwhile my immigration application would be under process in India, and by the time I finish my diploma I would also have got my immigration process complete.

Looking forward to your advice.

I never asked you to search for courses in Ryerson (which is of the same category as Windsor) !

As for your friend...do you have any idea which uni he is in ? He may be getting a full scholarship but it again depends on which uni he is studying and who is his research advisor (if he is into research)...

As for his univ./professor...i have to talk to him..but he was telling me that he could have got me admitted into his univ. by talking to his professors for sept'05 session easily if I had contacted him earlier.But,I thought I would get admission in Ryerson,which unfortunately I didnt.The only universities left for me are Guelph,York and Windsor.I can apply there only next year now as all admissions are closed.I just wanted to have a master's degree ... no matter whether its from Ryerson or Windsor.
And about those courses,I have already completed all of them while completing my bachelor's degree..do you think I should enrolling and reading the same stuff again would help me out.Thanks for all your help by the way,

Hi HarmeeK

Here is a fact :-

If you have duplicate courses then you can go and show them the courses and the course material and you may be exempted from doing those courses all over again.
I did not know you studied Formal Languages, Computer Vision in your UG studies. Even if you did, these courses are in the grad level. SO at best you should take them..These will easily give you an edge over other students, and you can get straight A's in them !... Moreover, the way a course is taught here in North America (at least in UofT) is different from the way it is taught in India (except of cos the IIT's and other such instititions)..

I repeat once again... If you want to do a Masters degree do it from a Good institution... and not from Ryerson and Windsor....! As they say..its always good to have sex...but having unsafe sex !...Now do you want to take a risk

Everytime I talk to you....my confidence level gets such a boost...l.I have sent a mail to the UoToronto guys regarding this and I would also call them tommorow to inquire about this...and if I get an admission...the first person to say a THANKS would be you.
