I have just finished my medical examination.....Now I have to arrange for Proof of funds....as according to the new Imm. Policy I have to show approx. Can $11,000.....approx....Indian Rs.420,000 for two people.
1)Can I just Borrow this money from my father.....cause if The Immigration people see that in one day How come I got so much money in my bank....or does it really matter.....and where and when are they going to check these proof of funds?
2)once the immigration Visa is issued how much is the time period that is been given to come to Canada?
3)How much time will it take for Visa to get stamped after the passport has been sent to the embassy?
Can Anybody give some suggestions?????

You might have not got any answers as whatever you have asked is already answered in this forum. Kindly search and you will get the response.
1. As per me, immigration is not an Income Tax department. You can show the balance and not the transactions. Secondthing what they need is $11,000 should be with you. You can borrow it, and that is perfectly allowed.
2. The validity of papers is 12 months from medical, I think.
3. No body knows.

You will get a letter stating how funds will have to be carried. Usually carried in the form of cash, demand draft, or traveler's cheques. Proof of funds are checked at port of entry in Canada.
Officially, you are not supposed to borrow settlement funds.

Usually 1 year from the date when medical examination was done.

It used to be 1-2 months in Delhi (if no medical problem) in August 2003.
