some people dont like to communicate in English it seems..

Let others also know what u discuss as this forum is not for your groupism or utilising language skills...

communicate in English or Hindi so that majority of people can particpate and take their intrest in discussion..

Pls.dont feel bad guys..it is my suggestion and not advise.

Even though I am a bengali, I fully agree.
just writing in this 'bengali english' on a public board is idiotic.
come on there are people who don't understand this stuff. communicate in english..

It is fantastic to find somany bongs here although i knew that Ottawa Nerd was that.I am from Delhi as the name indicates and as the thread indicates we have food as the most important thing in our mind .Really Elish Mach and shukto -nothing else except sleep after that .

Aikahne oek rokomer Mach ache. You can get Talapia and especially if you go towards Etobicoke or Scarborough you can get all the fishes you can think of.The most common thread besides language to tie all the bongs is the Pujo.Chokae Jal aise jaye barir kothaye bhabhe.

Just to tell everybody we have a sizable community in Calgary and Edmonton also and we can create a canada chapter for bongs. We can afterthat think of doing some philanthropic activity for our brothers and sisters back home.

Ending here with a great news

There is only one bust of any great personality in Calgary University library and that is of the nobel laureate -Sri Robindro Thakur.

I understand your sentiment. But I am sure u must be there for a much bigger cause.

Since I am in Kolkata now, I would try to present some glimpses of pujo for all of you. Kolkata almost got flooded yesterday. Forecast indicates probable bad weather during pujo here.

Very happy to note that all types of fish is available there. Do u get tangra, Parse, Bhetki , Pabda also?

Yes we do get those mostly in Bangladesi's shop but ofcourse frozen

I do agree that we should communicate in englsh/hindi
I started communication in Bengali because we don't get much oppurtunity to speak into this langauage ..and I created this thread only to gather Bengalees (Like Mumbainas did) so that we can chat in our own language
