i agree, maharaja is the best. i even did not happen to eat anything as good as maharaja even in GT

Bombay Mahal on 1242 crescent is a must for great Indian cusine.
Buffet maharaja is for the inexperienced in great authentic cusine.

Bombay Mahal will not disappoint.

none of them is pure indian.
because tradionally,Indian restaurant must follow VEDIC art of cooking
it means there not alloed egg,meat ,onion,garlik,musroom,etc etc.

but you can findout in montreal nearest Iskcon restaurant on

only iskcon restaurants worldwide recogonised as Real vedic indian restaurants.
other are mixed with Mughal and other cooking arts.

Lived in Montreal for 7 years.

If u like Canadian Indian food, Buffet Maharaja is good...

But if u like HOT Indian food (Indian Style), the best place I knew was Bombay Choupati in Pierrefonds (DDO). The Tandoori they serve is real Tandoori (cooked in Tandoor), and they serve Masala Dosa/Idlis, etc, etc....yummm.... Its a small place but the food is really good....
If u drink u could also try their draft : Double Diamond...
