As I can see, Yupp TV doesn't have two of the mostly viewed channels, i.e. Sony and Colors. The package is what you can easily get for free using Kodi (formerly, XBMC). I use Kodi and don't pay a dime for more than half of the channels that are listed in Yupp. Some of them are not live, but the heck, and all News channels are Live. In my opinion, they are ripping you off by charging you what you can get for free.

I use MagicJack for home phone and pay about $4/month with G3 for India calling ($11 for 1100 mins). Total home phone (US+Canada+India) = $15/month. The only downside? I can't get the Home alarm working with Magic Jack, as someone mentioned earlier as well.

The only gripe I have is that my parents are not that tech savvy to use these Kodi, or IP boxes (I tried enough), so I have to shell out for Cable. Still looking for something user friendly and cheap - looks like it doesn't exist.

Does kodi show cricket ? Or last week's hollywood / bollywood releases ? That may be the differentiating factor when we compare it to iptv subscrition. Iptv tv boxes also have grand ma friendly remote. 2 button presses to gurbani channel !

I use 'SportsDevil' Kodi addon to watch Live Cricket. For the movies, yes, they have all the latest movies and dramas. Got my Netflix subscription disconnected after getting one.

Can I ask which ipTV is it that's having Grandma friendly remote

. I am yet to find one that is stable - Jadoo, etc. have so many issues. I have 3 lying in some corner of my home that either stopped working after a few months or lack contents, seriously. I would buy one if anything is a bit stable and friendly for my parents.

Navix is good add on just search what u want and u will get it... sport devil or sport donkey is good ads on as well.. for Indian live tv..use zemtv... for all pre downloaded shows use aj addon

Kodi is best

There is no point of comparing kodi with a subscription service. You do not compare something illegal with something legal. Kodi itself is just the player. Addons serve content and lot of them could be infringing on copyright laws.
