Hi,

I am using Bell services

1. Bell phone (just regular features plus unlimited US / Canada long distance).
2. Internet unlimited.
3. Fibe TV (two outlets, hardly hardly use).

Please suggest alternatives. I like to explore alternatives this time.

1 - tech savvy for internet. (unlimited internet - get the best modem / wifi router even if I have to get one). $69.99 discussion is in progress.
2 - vonage for home phone.
3 - Alternative TV (No antenna service).. May be something live in internet..
At times, we watch weather channels, that 24 news thing and CBC sometimes, most of the other the times our kids take over the control of the TV.

Thanks.

Hi JRF ~

Here are my thoughts -- other CD s may kindly add theirs .

a. Internet - Teksavvy.

b. Phone - Magic Jack ( unlimited NA calling $50 per year)

c. India calling ... Rebtel over wi fi @ 1 c/m.

d. TV : Either use FTA ( which does get you 15-20 basic channels including CBC /WNED / CTV / Global / Grit TV / Omni etc)

Or you can use an IPTV (using internet ) ... there's another recent thread floating out there .

( If you are using Bell cell phone and would continue using it , you may need to compare the above costs with what Bell would charge you )

Saw this on RFD, 2 year contract with Rogers. I am with Rogers, pay a premium for better Internet. I was with Teksaavy in the past for 3 years, just mediocre service and Internet.

I can vouch for Tek Savvy ... Have been using cable through them since last 2 years ... no issues at all ... no billing escalations like Bell and no outages experienced ....
