Any formation of a group with in a country unless it is political party , vouching only for a certain community or religion and working against other community or set of communities within country , at times resorting violence and propaganda, protesting constitutional provisions, will be bad for country.
examples of such groups are SIMI, JKLF, Mao, Naxals, Hurriyat, Khalistan , even Shiv Sena though a political party when they despise north Indians in mumbai. We all Agree? If no, please voice out why not ( without a personal attack please)

So why RSS is a different group ?

Question is - is RSS an NGO or A Charity group ? if no , then argument holds good that RSS is another group which introduces divide within the country and thus should be criticised.

I think a bigger Q is ~

Whose country is India anyway ?

Does it belong to Hindus primarily OR does it equally belong to the minorities as well as people from different languages and religions ?

How can a Muslim who has lived throughout his life and previous 3 generations in the same city be disowned or told that it is not his country ?

But at the same time , how can that Muslim be stopped from conspiring against the Nation and made to feel possessiveness and unity with the country ?

Its a very complex situation given the fact that when it comes to religion , people generally lose their sense to reason.

I think education may hold the key wherein people realize that economy , well being of all are more important than religious zeal and violence .

Easier said than done ... sure.

That paragraph is here.

"Meanwhile, former Delhi Gurdwara Managing Committee chief and president Akali Dal Delhi, Paramjit Singh Sarna on Tuesday said Jaitley has no moral right to say anything on the issue as "his hands are equally stained with the blood of riot victims".
He said as the Union Law Minister in 2002 Jaitley tried to bail out several RSS and BJP workers involved in the anti-Sikh riots. "

I do not want to incite those sentiments here , RSS and BJP workers were in-fact involved in sikh riots. I agree Congress followers were prominent actors.
and for past 32 years , there is no one statement from RSS leaders where they demanded justice for Sikhs. So lets close this bitter topic here because all of us agree that thats a blot on Indian History where Justice is yet to be served.
No credit to RSS here.

The context in the above statement is clearly politically motivated - I hope we are all educated enough to distinguish.

Setting aside political affiliations of perpetrators and defender - can a lawyer file for bail application an accused? Does it automatically mean that the lawyer is supporting the accused? Does it also automatically mean the accused is guilty of the crime and not a victim?

Half truth is more dangerous than an outright lie - it makes it hard for everyone to confirm the facts. It is also a fact that people want to believe whatever suits their argument for anything.

Having watched RSS karyakartas in training and action first hand -it will be a shame to even call it a religious organisation - let alone right wing extremists. The basis and training of this organisation is on pre-british bharat (which was India before the english) and the customs followed at that time. Hindus was a term used for all residents on the land east of Indus valley and was not restricted to any religion.

The RSS had more members in western India and due to geographical restrictions - people in the north have not experienced them first hand. Do not expect any NGO to wander the streets during riots - they are human after all and fear for their own lives as well. However, post such events - RSS has a long history of support activities - if anyone cares to find out -beyond the ELM who have an allergy to everything that is not english/british. Every major natural/man made calamity has had RSS volunteers providing support - WITHOUT BANNERS AND ADVERTISEMENT.

To compare/equate between RSS with any of the religious organisations is insulting. A person could be a volunteer of RSS and still a member of Bajrang dal or VHP based on his/her personal beliefs - that does not mean RSS/Bajrang Dal and VHP are all same.

The educated youth of today are very gullible and tend to see everything in black and white. The biased media does not help and tends to incite these passions either way. You are either BJP supporter or Congi supporter, either a nationalist or anti-national, religious or atheist... there is no space for anything in the middle - primarily due to the insatiable itch of the media to sensationalize the smallest of incidence for headlines.

I am personally against the group or individuals who are hell bent on forcing their idea of nationalism on to the rest of the population - but have the common sense to understand the difference between patriots, opportunists and trolls (shit stirrers). There can be different levels/definitions of nationalism, but every Indian should be on the same page when it comes to defending/supporting a group or individual who advocates separatism/division of the country.

By participating in political vendetta, many 'freedom fighters' have lost sight of the larger picture on contributing towards the development and betterment of the country and focusing on their own personal gains.

Ache din indeed.

Peace.

So surprised to know that people dont use logic here...

What was the reason for Sikh riot ? - Indira Gandhi
Who supported killing and un-Justice - Congress
Who is still protecting their babu's - Congress

So why RSS comes in pictures ????

Since modi is in power, everyone try to portrait modi /bjp in bad names , now they cant do much so they are using RSS ( as bjp stooge)

but the fact is all has been done under congress govt and with their support - so there is no point bringing RSS into it ... there may be few indevidual did riots but u cant blame rss for that...

I agree ... , facts are twisted to suit Congress propaganda. Congress sympathizers are hoping to be back in power next term with these tactics, but its very unlikely with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi at the top. BJP will win at least next 2 terms, my prediction.

I am finding it very immature the current posturing of the BJP and its supporters in the ongoing 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' issue. They really don't know where to stop and are digging their own grave.

If this (similar immature incidents) continues for the next 2-3 years, the mother / son don't have to do anything, the public will be fed up of these leaders and will vote them out.

Shameful indeed.
