This is one of the best area in Brampton. Mostly when people talk ( ill ) about Brampton, they have not seen nicest neighbourhood, wider roads as compared to any other part of GTA and better public transit ( Mt Pleasant Go station to Union in 50 mins ). I have lived in Msauga, Etobicoke, Markham and Brampton and have worked in downtown Toronto travelling from these places, thus qualify to make this comment :-).

GTA RE is growing expensive ( but still 'cheaper' than major comparable cities in NA) and there are not many areas where you spend above 500k and get value for the dollars. This part is one.

I agree. Visited a friend early this year and was very happy to see the development in Mount Pleasant. This place is poised to become an upscale version of Brampton, or it already is.

From investment property perspective , how is Malton ?

Not highly priced ( lower priced in fact ) , buy a house , rent upper & lower portion , manage the tenant .... sizable Indian population , transit is not very bad either ...

Properties would be old I guess , but then appropriately priced also.

We visited Aurora yesterday .

Not bad distance compared to 404 / MacKenzie .. just 10 minutes drive ahead .. through King City ... small town and the area including New Market appears new ... supposed to be having its own GO station and there are quite a few reasonably priced new constructions coming up here .

Good accessibility to Brampton via Hwy 7 / Queen St.

Not sure though what the 400 looks like in rush hour .. I can guess its not pleasant.

I agree. It's not a bad place as it's normally projected to be. Closer to Toronto Transit, Mississauga, and GO, I don't think it will ever be empty - rent wise.

How much are we talking about for a Bungalow with a finished basement?

people are saying in Brampton Property tax is way higher than other cities...like Mississauga, Etobicoke, New-market, Vaughan, etc..

Mississauga 2100 - 2400 sqft detached house - property tax is roughly around $4000 - $5000 but the same house in Brampton property tax is around $7500- $8500.

is it true or I am in wrong impressions?

Brampton is not yet full and is still in growing stage...Mississauga is full packed no more land left for new projects so only option for Mississauga is to purchase re-sale houses.
