This will die down soon.... they are not getting enough support except from certain part of Gujarat.
but surely he made his way into politics... he will gain support there and he may win some independent sits ( under keshubhai command )

in fact it will be better if Modi use this as example and try to reduce or dump all cast base reservations ...
Cast system is still a bigger issue in India and its time India should start working to remove and favors based on cast

I was surprised to see this, but when I checked the news it made sense to me, it was from Edison NJ. Culturally Desis living in Edison do remain Desi by heart, mind and habits and so this support.
Many of the Patels (living in the USA) in my circle started forwarding social media messages supporting this movement, but that has died too.
Not sure what will happened to this movement. It looks like an arm twisting activity to get rid of Reservation.

Sardar Vallabhai Patel a strong & fearless leader must be rolling in his grave, when he sees this . Lot of people feel that if he had the reigns of India, post India instead of Nehru/Gandhi , India would have been in a much better place today.
Now Marathas in Maharshtra want reservation, the great Maratha warrior SHIVAJI must be rolling in his grave too

During a discussion on NDTV, Hardik claimed that those people are getting admission at 40% and Patel's can't even at 90 percent. This is his usual speech to provoke innocent Patel's. NDTV however, did the right job, they threw real numbers on his face!

Another interesting fact - out of 4200 medicine, dental surgery and nursing courses available this year, over 1000 went to Patel candidates from the data of Gujarat's Admission Committee for Professional Medical Educational Courses.
My personal take on this issue is that instead of job reservations, there should be higher/equal quality of school education should be provided in the government schools so that all sections of society should get good education initially. Merit should be the only deciding factor later on.
