Hi,

Can you please help me with the following query:

1)
I have got 8 experience working as Area Manager with Insurance industry. (NOC-0121)
Four years experience as self-employed. Having my own Recruitment firm. (Cannot find the NOC, closest match is 1223)
Since last 2 years as Sr. Manager-Corporate Relations, wherein profile is helping management students of my educational institute with job placements and internships (I Think NOC 4033)

Please help me if the NOC, which I mentioned above are correct or not

2)
Which NOC should I choose as primary occupation? I intend to make career in either 0121/1223/4033

3)
If I choose either of the three in EE application as my primary education and get job offer in other NOC, does it affect my application? For eg. I mention 1223 as Primary and get job in either 0121 or 4033

Looking forward to hear from you

regards,

YOU ARE PREPARING YOURSELF IN A VERY GOOD MANNER... and I admire your method of working with the CIC Websites.

Here is something more that you should do in your approach to enter into Canada. It is to get your Basic Educational Qualifications verified by the Credential Assessment Group. After which you can heave a sigh of relief and say, when I get in, I can surely compete with any other applicant.

For all you know, you may be even qualified as an Actuary, which I do not know.

So, without knowing your complete background, or your CV, I would not venture into answering your questions any further. But I always help each and every individual that drops in here and makes a request. So, here is a small suggestion with all of the help.

If you did not know, you are entering into a field here in Canada that is REGULATED. Which means that you need to get certified in your field and will be held responsible for your actions in the profession that you wish to follow. In your case it is Insurance.

It might take just three months to get the local equivalent of the certifications in your field, as you know all or most of the answers to them. But there are a few modifications made here to suit the local requirements, which only an individual who has handled a post at both the ends can answer, worked here in Canada and where ever you are currently. The ability to do that will be noticed by some one who is your superior. This is where your experience enters the picture. But you do not have the local experience and should be prepared to start from the bottoms up.

Now coming to the spade work that you have done and the question that you are asking here. : Which NOC heading or the number that you should quote to get entry into Canada. I would say look for a job that pays you the most and has room for advancement. That is the route to go. Then again only a few big companies will provide you with such opportunities and also with a post to enter into. Then again, you will need some local equivalent qualification to show for it. Just to give you an example a Math Degree for an Actuarial Post.

Do tell me how can I do justice to your query and also quote an NOC Number for you to enter into Canada, without knowing you or your qualifications.

Additionally, you should look into the job pool and see, if there are any suitable openings for you there currently and if there is, then you can file your application into the pool and then work with it. You can only apply for a job in which you have the minimum requirement plus some. (Not look for a clerical post)

Most important requirement is the Language qualifications and so do not even attempt to do any search for jobs, if you have not crossed that hurdle.

I will post all of the links that you should delve into and get to know them. After which you can get back to us here and ask away your questions and I am sure we can help you there at that time.
