Does anybody know if the government grants citizenship to a child born outside of wedlock to a Canadian citizen while abroad if he is already married? Person A is married to Person B both Canadian citizens. Person A meets Person C in India and she becomes pregnant. Does the child (when born) get Canadian citizenship based on his father?

That depends:

1) Do A and B have any children?

2) Is Person C already married to Person D ?

3) Does Person C and D have children namely E and F?

4) what are the nationalities of C, D, E and F?

I am getting confused now....

1. No.
2. Person C is unmarried.
3. Unmarried and no existing children.
4. There is no D, E and F. C is Indian.

Some of these are legal issues that need to get resolved. There is a chance the kid could get Canadian Citizenship.

PLEASE READ..: "A" May have to ditch the first wife "B", if he wants to make it legal. If "A" (you) is from a religion where he can have more than one wife, then, move over to the happy valley. Find out more from Blackmore.

I wasn't quite sure which gave me the biggest chuckle - Rajagopal's post or SB's response to Rajagopal's post :)

In any case, what does person B think about all this? I am assuming CIC would also like to know about A and B's relationship before venturing into the business of C and the unborn child.

Just great...now you got one more Acronym involved. :-)

Yes, i would like to know what does B think about A's illegal relationship with C.
B will be sure to file a case against A and C. A might even lose his citizenship if he has been sponsored by B.

Dude,
Please be serious. The above statement is completely wrong.
You are mingling moral issues with immigration issues.
Donot tell rediculous things like the above, which is actually quite misleading. Let us help, if we know, or else hold the peace.
