As Canadian were sleeping, there was a massive earth quake in Nepal killing atleast 460 people in Nepal and 10-12 people in India.
IAF has launched a massive food supply programme to Nepal and our PM is personally supervising the relief efforts.
We shall prove that we will stand shoulder to shoulder with Nepal during the time of need.
Our prayers are with the people of Nepal.

Revised figures in the last one hour puts the death (estimated) at 688 in Nepal and over 24 in India.
May their sould rest in peace !!

This is a big humanitarian crisis. Major casualties are expected. No of death normally increase as more bodies are recovered from the rubble.
Nepal always has lot of tourists, & being Saturday, you can expect a heavy crowd at all tourists place there.
My prayers to all those in need. And rest in peace for all the deceased.

As per latest atleast 3671 are killed in Nepal (with the toll expected to reach 6000) and 6515 are injured.
The death toll in India rises to 72.
In a new development, the PM and the MP's have all decided to donate their one month salary to Nepal recovery efforts which is highly commendable.
A fresh tremor at 5.1 was experienced at the latest.

80 % of buildings in Delhi are NOT earthquake proof .
Imagine the loss of life that's going to take place if even a small earthquake strikes Delhi..one of the most populated cities in the world .
That area is NOT that far from earthquake zones & possibilities of earthquake is quite high.
The thing about Nepal is that they are saying even a bigger eathquake is JUST around the corner..and lot of after shocks are still going to come for days !
