Last I know , historically, hindu kings divided the yester years hindustan into 100s of smaller states where as Moghuls and British did well to consolidate this part of world. Their motive is different story but India stayed united for 500 years. Immediately after declaration of independence by brits, 562 princely states kings, mostly hindus. again wanted to claim their individual territories till Valabh Bhai persuaded and if required coerced his way through to sign accession to India.

Asking for Hindu rashtra based on religion is a stupid mistake (I just called some of you stupid, to be very very clear) and same as repeating mistakes of history. Next step in any religious state, is fundamentalism and terrorism.

Gupta ji History dubara pado , except Mauryan period which included Ashoka who turned to budhism , Indian subcontinent was not united for ages. There were parallel dynasties in south such as vijaynagar, east and central cum north Indian parts. Never as united as British empire did. Akbar did expand down south till godavari river which was quite an achievement for an emperor from north. Anyways I do not want to praise British and Mughals as they had vested interests in India but the point is the divide on religion will further deteriorate conditions in Indian subcontinent entangling in useless disputes, age-old practices and push-back to match with world progress. Kashmir is an example. Come out of your hindu closet it was good in BC, this is AD. Stay away from the thought brigades of churches and mosques which are already screwing the world.
