CONSIDER COMPLETION OF THE FIRST FOUR YEARS THERE IN INDIA.. AND THEN, further their education here or in the U.S.

Here in Canada, when they are about to complete their grade 12 with the requisites, prior to completion, they get into an advace selection process. (10 +2 in the Indian Education system.) Most of them by then know that they have a good standing in the required subjects. That will be above 90% marks. Some even get a bursary or a scholarship to enter into the Universities. Some into Pre Med, and some into Pre eng., and they enter the Universities at the Primary level. The fees are generally the normal fees for the residents.

For anyone coming from abroad, as an International Student, they must meet these requirements to qualify for the entry. Also they will need an IELTS standing at a Very High Level. All of these are pre-requisites and then the funding enters the picture. Currently it will be about $100,000.00+

Not knowing the performance of the entrant and the financial backing, I will just stop at this point and can pursue it later, in continuation of this thread, if your friends budding son/daughter can meet the initial requirements.

There are Entrance exams there in India for students who want to enter into Uniersities and they will have to have a good scoring at that level to gain entry. They might also have scholarships available to them at the intitution of their choice. So, I would suggest that they look into it first and after their completion of FOUR years can decide to further their education here or in the U.S. at a future date and time.
