Hey Guys: I and the family did our landing in June 2011 and the PR validity is until August 2016. I suppose I have to come and start living on or before August 2014 (I am out of Canada currently). Since I am planning to come over first get a job and get them over I am just wondering if they miss the August 2014 timeline by a few months would this mean their PRs would not be renewed in 2016 and they would lose it?
Appreciate your responses in advance.

Thanks for response. I still seek information from someone who can throw some light on the consequences of marginal incomplete days/weeks satisfying the criteria of 2 years stay to be able to renew the PR.
You have lots of time on hand and can plan very well, by that I mean you can squeeze all of your other activities and adjust to arrive here well in advance and get your life moving as smmothly as yoou can. That is planning. You can do that, I am sure.
FH.
FH, I get your point and I believe I have already expressed my appreciation. I am after some technical answers if you get what I am trying to arrive at. What I can and cannot do get get my life moving on smoothly is best left to me. So if you do no have the answer to my query (apart from the advisory on how to plan my life) I reckon it's best that we move on. I am trying to reach out to someone who might have some pointers.
If you are few days short then, immigration office may ask you question about how you will complete you PR requirements and then you have to prove that you came this time forever. Intention to settel here is important to prove and then they may allow you to come in. In case they do not then, you have to have your lawyer number ready to call them and then you will have legal bettal to fight. There are many steps before they deport.
What I heard is that there are good chances that they will allow you to come in and stay if you are littel short but do not take chance if you have days in hand. Come over if you have already make up your mind. You will save yourself from tension and legal battel and most important - opportunity to live in Canada more time in life
Hope this helps
Yes that does. thank you.
