Now you are going off the tangent a bit. As part of democracy and proud Canadian you have to accept liberals since they are the part of Canada. Stop immigration? nah you will be chopping your fingers with your own axe. Canada needs younger generation new immigrants (from all parts of the world) and not the deserters who will be suffering by moving country to country. Conservatives already putting the plugs/restrictions on OSA. Be the part of leadership and put the restrictions on deserters as well.

Yes. The Canadian Govt. will have to put restrictions on deserters.
But if the Deserter is a Canadian citizen, it is very hard to impose tough restrictions. They will be anyways eligible for CPP, free (so called) medical, welfare etc.. However, you can put restrictions on OAS and GIS where you can easily change the residency conditions.
However, the sufferers will be mostly Maple card holders and not necessarily Canadian citizens!

There is nothing more sweeter than revenge.
If in 30 years, Canada goes to the dogs, I donot care. I would have made my life living / earning/ saving / retiring in India, Gulf or Australia !!!
However, before anyone leaves Canada, make sure that your life will be better than what you enjoyed in Canada, otherwise life would be a hell in the place that you are in .
