There is an expedited provision for issuing PR card in case of emergency travel abroad.

I don't know anyone who has used this, or how well this actually works.
But it is out there, and an option for you to consider.

Thanks PratckM,

I checked out the site, after reading it, only hope it also applies to new immigrants who dont have to apply for a PR but it is taken care of at the POE itself. Do we assume that new immigrants fall under "Applied less than twelve weeks before" category or the new immigrants fall under a different category.
