This is a simple math question.

I watched this on GPS - Fareed Zakaria last weekend.

Yes ! Whatever answer you are thinking right now is WRONG.

Most of MIT,HARVARD and other whiz kids got it wrong.

A bat and a ball cost $ 1.10.

The bat costs a dollar more than the ball.

How much does the ball and the bat costs Individually?.

Incomplete info ... Let us know if it is a buy one buy another 1/2 price scenario or are there any other discounts involved when buying bat & ball together .

Agree, good question. I had to revisit some algebra skills while travelling on the Go train to solve this :-)
