Never felt this, I've been there several times since they started. Lots of servers are gujaratis, I've spoke to them in gujarati and they speak quite freely.

I sincerely hope you are right...I always felt those talks quite superficial. I feel some of those guys are either at their end of visa or their status is at the mercy of the owner of the restaurant. I may be too paranoid.

Chutney Swamy at Dixie and Dundas is awesome (Chicken Chetinnad Dosa). They also have rumali roti. We had with tikka masala and it was good

Also a very nice place is bukhara grill at Creditview and Burnhamthrope..

Last time we went to India taste the quality of meat was not as good.. may not go back there again....

Thanks for the reviews for JALSA.

We're new and treat every feedback seriously. At Jalsa, we strive for quality taste using quality ingredients and preparation methods. At times, this does take longer but it's worth the wait.

We have noted some of the comments here and will consider the same and make necessary adjustments to our recipes.

We hope you give Jalsa a good try and support an independent restaurant.

Hi Anybody tried BOMBAY CHAAT recently opened at Newin Mall 2580 Shapard Ave Unit #1. We recently tried Bombay Chaat fast food in Newin Mall, Mississauga.

Food was good and many of the items are actually introduced for the first time in GTA (maybe in Canada even) - Bombay Bhel, Vada Pav, and so many items etc.. We tried a few items and they were all above average. I liked the Papadi Chaat, Dahi Wada and my kids liked Chocolate Dosa. Wife tried Pav bhaji with Amul butter - very close to Mumbai taste (you can't match the taste of PAV from a Mumbai bakery).

Nice friendly place reminds me of the fast food places we used to visit in Mumbai - the service there was a bit faster than here - could be because here every item is made after the order is placed.

Planning the next visit..
