I was wondering if anyone could tell me the complete procedure of sponsoring wife to Canada!!!. I am a Canadian PR Holder and became PR on Aug 2010. Its been an year in Canada and I am working as a Forklift Operator earning 12 bucks per hour. I am also doing Full time 3 year Course in Computers (Co op) starting this September 2011. I have also applied for OSAP and my OSAP funding has also been processed.

My marriage is almost fixed but not yet married or registered and she is from India (Nurse). I would like an expert advice and also everyone's opinion on my thread on how to sponsor my fiancee and what procedures involved in this process.

I would greatly appreciate everyone's time and effort to reply and guide me through the whole process and clarify my doubts regarding this topic.

I would like the advice for these doubts.

1. Considering my present job and Fulltime Studies and OSAP funding, Am I eligible right now to sponsor my wife?

2. When can I apply for sponsorship, after legal registration of marriage in the court or Do they require photos and videos of traditional marriage rituals as proof?

3.Can I apply right away after registering in the court or do I have to wait for any other procedures?

4. Can I apply myself for my wife or do I have to hire a consultant? If yes, any suggestions for best consultant in Mississauga or Brampton Area and how much it would cost?

5. How do I apply for sponsorship? What are the fee? Where to go to apply ?

6. What documents do I need to submit for sponsoring my wife?

7. Is there any income limit (gross income i have to show) or need of Permanent Job or steady income to sponsor my wife?

8. How long will the process take?

9 Will my Full time studies or OSAP funding create any problem for sponsorship?

10. What if I stop working and do only Studies and then sponsor my wife, is that possible?

11. Do I have to stay in Canada during the applying and processing time or Can I stay in India and return with my wife after her application is processed?

12. Will there be any interviews or something in Canada or in India during the process?

13. How to sponsor, where to apply, what documents & fee, and what procedures are involved in the whole process?

I know I am a bit annoying by asking a lot of questions, but this is all coz I dont have any idea of spousal sponsorship and I dont wanna miss any details of the total process. Please consider me as a desperate CD and kindly forgive for this long thread.
