Have u done any costing on this..
The link says 60K lbs of shrimp per year for 2 mil investment.
Shrimp sells for 2$ per lb in oceans chinese store, so u tell me how u will recoup ur cost.. Lets say it is A grade shrimp which sells for 5$ per lbimagine the whole sale price u will have to sell it to the stores wont be more than 2$ per lb..
It is great to be a path breaker, but sometimes there is a reason why no one has tried that path.
If i had 2 mil i would probably do something else...

I have a few folks in Kolkata, who are already in this business in Asia, and a government official contact who can get you in touch with officials there to make the cost much cheaper to import the shrimp from overseas.
What you have to do is sell them the preservation technologies from the companies here, to the shrimp farms in India.
I am probably sure, it wont require 2million in investment maybe 1million, but if we are all willing to cooperate on making a plan to raise the capital required from shareholders, and debtors from India and Canada. Then, we can make things work out, but before we even start I am not sure if you guys have done some exploring about getting the supply contracts in asian stores, retailers, please let me know if you want some help in exporting and importing...and feel free to message.
hi yes its possible to do a shrimp farm in canada if you want some inf let me know thanks
Don't listen to anyone saying anything about it not being profitable shrimp farming.
As it stands growing Arctic Char and Tilapia, salmon and rainbow trout farm the majority of aquaculture now in Canada.
Shrimp farming is where nearly all the shrimp from Indonesia is farmed.
It's not difficult in setting up and running, it's getting the original shrimp I'm having trouble finding. Asian Pacific Shrimp is the main variety I'm trying to procure as we speak. My best bet is in Mississippi there is a university prof that I'm looking at getting assistance from.
