I got my nominee through Nova Scotia and I applied to the federal to Buffalo USA.
One of my buddy applied like 3 days before me and he got the medical request a month back. It's been more than 4 months since I sent my nominee approval and federal application to Buffalo. I haven't heard anything nor I can't check my status online while my buddy can using client id #. I emailed Buffalo asking for an update and told them since its more than 12 weeks should I expect something? they replied that it would take about 30 weeks to get a file in database and if at all something is wrong they might send the application back to me. Now should I be concerned that something is wrong with my file or is it normal that each application differs. I keep worrying just because my buddy got an update and I don't have anything at all. Please let me know what further I can do on this?

It is normal .... Each application may processed differently for many known/unknown reasons. Even if some thing is wrong with your file, there is nothing you can do about it now and you need to wait till you hear from CIC.

At this point, The BEST thing you can do is ... RELAX and WAIT.
