It has glimpses of Gandhi's eternal wisdom & conscience.

No doubt why 'Why I Killed Gandhi' by Nathuram Godse was banned.

Isn't it good that Vallabhbhai patel is not called as Father of nation? otherwise he enver would have beeen recognized as "Iron Man of India" and Subhashji also would never been called as "Netaji".
'Sardar' is not a Hollywood movie (its a hindi movie) and was widely appreciated by Indian Audience. It is a very sane movie based on historical facts. And, Historical Facts can be Unpleasant - in this case, Gandhi + Nehru's antics.
There was a reason why he was killed and there was a reason why the motive behind it, was immediately banned.
Well, sadly - it seems 'Father of the Nation' is Greater than the 'Nation'.
(I could not watch that monkey skull thing in Indiana Jones and boycotted the series)
