Is there any way I can put a "default view"in my gmail, so that mail with a specific label won't show in my view whenever I log in to my gmail account. I should be able to see e-mail from that specific label, only when I click on that label.
I am getting lots of e-mail from a specific google group. I do not want to have a digest. But at same time, I want to read those e-mails only when I want to. Otherwise they should remain hidden all the time.
I have created a label/filter which filters out all the mails from that specific group (1-x). I want to use that label/filter as my default view. Is it possible?
Create label and filter for the mails - coming from this specific Google group. When you are on the step 2 on the label ( in the settings menu) also check the box which says " Skip the Inbox (Archive it)". With this label and filter all mails would be archived and when you click on the particular label, you can see all mail for that label.
