I am planning to land soon. Although Toronto/Vancouver were the places
where I was focussing on, I have got a lead for a job in Ottawa.
Although nothing confirmed yet, I have begun to wonder what life is like
in the Canadian capital. How is it for families, cost of living, the
winters in comparison with Toronto, etc. I would appreciate the opinions
of those that live there.
I have lived in Ottawa and would recommend the place to people who are looking for the opinions. Very friendly, significant Indian community, desi restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The downtown Ottawa is excellent. The city is filled with nice parks and walking trails by the river. The cost of living is cheaper than Toronto and winters are similar to Toronto. The transit system is fantastic.
