Could you let me know which neighbourhoods you consider safe to live ?
it may not necessairly be a DESI area..OR

if you could turn back time which area would you have picked to live in Ontario ?

Thanks

You might get more answers if you've asked which areas are not so popular to live and often I hear (not out of my own research though).

1. Jane / Finch.
2. Malvern

But if I could turn back the clock (well of course $$), I would've chosen to live (My visibility is limited mostly to Mississauga / bit of brampton and oakville), it also highlights the cost factor.

1. Old derry village in Mississauga,
2. Port Credit Mississauga.
3. Churchill meadows area in Mississauga (Much affordable compared to other two).
4. Oakville (forgot the area name).
5. Credit view area in Brampton (Near the apple ranches).

I also have a feeling that opting to live in Royal York is also good from commute perspectives.

You should consider writing down your preference, affordability, interests and what is most important to you. Your post appear to be more of a casual one than something serious.

Thanks JRF, for yr detailed reply, its not a casual Q,I am looking to shortlist places to live but would like to know what others( you senior/just moved desi's) would have learnt from their experiences...so that I make use the info to make an informed decision about moving,

As I mentioned on my before posts I am looking for a Safe neighbourhood close to the city centre to commute and close to grocery/school and Church.

especially since I will be staying alone with my son for a while

Thanks again

Hi Don mills is convenient as it is near the subway and shopping mall. But the people staying in the bldgs ..... safety might be a matter of concern. My friend who stays there, often voices her concern.

How old is your child? Near Sq1 there are alot of new good apts. Around 1400 as rent, but in terms of safety etc ... it is excellant. Schools are good as well, if you stay in a good community you will always find decent schools

Depends on your priorities

Thank you
